VERARUS was founded in Tokyo by a professional team consisting of designers and craftsmen with decades of experience in the shoe industry, including a director who himself had concerns about his height and style.

For a long time, I lived with deep insecurity about my height and body.
In group photos, I was always placed in the front row, feeling defeated.
When meeting women, I constantly thought, “Someone like me—this short—could never be chosen,”

I came across platform shoes by chance.
But they looked awkward, were easy to notice, and above all, they were uncomfortable and painful to wear.
